Awareness of sleep apnoea continues to grow. Promoting and supporting treatment can be challenging. The cost of non-treatment or low compliance can pose serious risks. LISA™ is there for you to help ensure continuity and efficiency of the care pathway and improved patient outcomes. This will ultimately lessen the burden on patients and healthcare providers.

Our level of involvement varies from country to country, from the provision of equipment to active patient interaction via home care or care centers. LISA™ offers a wide range of masks, accessories and devices from the world’s leading suppliers including but not limited to ResMed, Philips / Respironics, DeVilbiss, Fisher & Paykel, Covidien and GE / Breas. These are carefully tested at our own Innovation and Development center for functionality, safety, usability and maintainability.

We understand the patient benefits of CPAP treatment and how care support can have an even greater impact on patient compliance to treatment (1). With this in mind, LISA™ provides, among other services:

  • Individual advice and education to the patients and family members concerning the therapy. 
  • Safety and maintenance information.
  • Patient forum meetings and involvement in patient associations.
  • Compliance control and information to the physician. If there are issues with compliance, LISA™ can take any necessary actions to help the patient.
  • In many countries, we run care centers, to supplement patient education, support technical staff, shorten information flow, improve routines and generally create an open and friendly environment for the patients.

A survey conducted in October 2008 by the Patients Organisation Group in the Netherlands confirms the importance of care support. It investigated the experiences of patients using Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) equipment, as part of their sleep therapy. It also explored differences in treatment and approach towards patients by home care providers. Almost 5,700 patient responses were analysed. Care providers were also rated. Linde Healthcare service quality level was well recognised and Linde Healthcare was awarded the highest and the most consistent rankings across key aspects of patient care.
