Encouragement, advice and support can play a key role in motivating you to overcome any setbacks you encounter and stay on track with your therapy. Your LISA® coach will help you tackle any issues or side-effects you may be experiencing and fine-tune your therapy and equipment if necessary. There are a number of steps you can take to get more comfortable with your equipment. These include:
Using a nasal spray to relieve a dry, stuffy or runny nose.
Adjusting the CPAP settings in agreement with your prescribing physician.
Adjusting the size/fit of the mask.
Adjusting moisture to ambient levels as air flows through the mask.
Using a CPAP device that can automatically adjust the amount of air pressure to the level that is strictly required to keep your airway open.
Using a CPAP device that will start with a low air pressure and slowly increase the air pressure as you fall asleep.
